The ARK WINTER SERIES

The Winter Series has been an Arkansas Running Klub event for a number of years.  It was generally done over 6-8 weeks during January and February when there were few training runs.  There are several still listed with times in the archives are Arkansasrunner.com, which we no longer do.

The Winter Series are training fun runs.  Registration for the Winter Series includes all of the runs including the after run food and fun as well as the water and gator aid.  A special gift is also included.

This first Winter series run will start in the River Market on January 5th, 2013, and go across the Clinton Bridge to the North Little Rock side of the River Trail.  All miles will be marked with cones.

On January 12th we will start at the same time and will go from Lake Willastein in Maumelle.  The course will circle the lake and go out Oden Road towards the Sports Complex utilizing the trail system there.

On January 19th we will start from Cooks Landing and go East towards Burns Park though the North Shore Industrial Park.  Again, all the miles will be marked.

The final Winter Series run on January 26th will go from Cooks Landing again but head West over the Big Dam Bridge to Two Rivers Park.

All runs will have course support with water and or gator aid usually at the 5K and 10K turnarounds.  A 20K and Half Marathon distance will also be available, but will have unmanned support.

The Winter Series Application can be downloaded
here.
